Harmony with Natural laws

Physical Health

Health, life, and happiness result from obedience to the physical laws that govern our bodies… If we cooperate with God in this work, the sure results are health and happiness, peace and usefulness. Mind, Character, and Personality, p. 291.3

Understanding the physical laws that govern the body and harmonizing life practices with these laws is a duty of utmost importance. We must understand the many factors that contribute to true happiness: a cheerful home, obedience to the laws of life, and proper relationships with others. The Ministry of Healing, p. 7.3

Mental Health

There is a close relationship between the mind and the body, and to reach a high level of moral and intellectual endowment, we must respect the laws that govern our physical being. To achieve a strong and well-balanced character, our mental and physical faculties must be exercised and developed. What study can be more important… than that of this marvelous organism God has entrusted to us and the laws by which it should be kept in good health? God Cares for Us, p. 323.6

It is the duty of every person, for their own benefit and for that of humanity, to know the laws of health and obey them conscientiously. Everyone should know the most wonderful organism: the human body. They should understand the functions of the various organs and how they depend on one another to function healthily. They should study the influence of the mind on the body, and vice versa, and the laws that govern both. —The Ministry of Healing, pp. 89–90

Social and Family Health

The home is the heart of society, the church, and the nation. The well-being of society, the success of the church, and the prosperity of the nation depend on the influence of the home. —The Ministry of Healing, p. 269

The more closely family members are united in their home responsibilities, the more uplifting and helpful their influence will be outside the home—the father, mother, sons, and daughters. —The Adventist Home, p. 31

Spiritual Health

Where there is biblical spiritual health, there is growth… There is no limit to its improvement!

Spiritual health depends on the nourishment the mind receives and the air it breathes. Lift Him Up, p. 172.2

Exercise is essential for growing in grace. When spiritually sick people are exercised in spiritual matters, character transformation occurs. Spiritual life depends on exercise. But spirituality cannot grow while the heart is full of the corrupting sores of selfishness. The soul must be cleansed and purified by the refining grace of God. The channel of communication between earth and heaven must remain free of any obstruction… Lift Him Up, p. 172.5
